Solvent Chemicals Available at Stimsol

Wax Solvent

ParaSol 315: ParaSol 315 is a low cost value added blend intended for removing large amounts of wax or wax asphaltene mixtures. It may also be used as a soak to soften very heavy wax deposits which can then be circulated out of the hole if not previously dissolved. The major single component of ParaSol 315 is xylenes which are found to be very effective in breaking up waxes. Combined with a crystal modifier, ParaSol 315 allows wax solutions to be pumped at temperatures where similar solutions of wax in xylene harden completely and cannot be pumped.

Asphaltene Solvent and Dispersant

Solvatene: Solvatene is a low cost value added blend intended for removing large amounts of asphaltenes in gas wells and breaking the asphaltene stabilized emulsions often found in wells which co-produce oil, gas and water. The single major component of Solvatene is toluene which is found to be most effective in breaking up asphaltenes.

Diluent and Work Over Fluid for Heavy Oil

TarSol/SolvaBlend Series: TarSol is a series of specialized solvents, asphaltene additives and mutual solvents to reduce viscosity and improve flow. Specialty chemicals added to the TarSol solvents work effectively as a diluents, workover fluids and hot oiler additive. TarSol is designed for multifunction use while maximizing cost efficiency.

Diluent used to add to Hot Oil Crudes

SolvaBlend: A low cost solvent blend combining the strong solvent action of Stimsol solvents with the effectiveness of Reduce Acid systems SolvaBlend is tailored to the needs of conventional oil and acts as an all purpose work over fluid.

Removal of Wax or Asphaltene Deposits in Water Disposal Wells

Matrix Blends: Matrix is a high tech specialty solvent with value added chemicals that is very effective for dissolving waxes and asphaltenes. Matrix 857 is an ideal spearhead and soak for penetrating or removing small quantities of waxy or asphaltenic material found on the surface of inorganic scale, iron sulfide particles and the formation matrix near the wellbore. Matrix 880 greatly enhances the reaction rate of acid by lifting the light hydrocarbon deposits. These blends are useful for gas wells, oil wells and injection well stimulations.
